Being patience pays

Today we analysed a freshly promoted club. So far so good. During these previous seasons all the promoted teams went back to Plat after the first season. The only exception is Sant Just and this Cerdanyola looks really good. This game is the OkLiga day 5 in between Cerdanyola and Noia. The game ended 3-2 for the locals.

As a reminder, Follow this steps:

  1. Take a look at the video:
  2. Read and think about the analysis.
  3. Match the analysis and the video. Min 0:16

This is the first goal for Noia. The analysis starts at the bottom corner of the area in 4. Restarting the game. As soon as it starts, Najera (Noia Nº7) moves the ball back to 0, on the same side. Just to start and decompress the defence.

Toni Salvado (Noia Nº8) gets the ball and starts skating horizontally on the half way line and passes to the opposite side looking for a block. David Gelma (Noia Nº96) starts skating looking the diagonal, but when the defence gets really tight pass back to Najera located at the opposite side.

So far all the movements are to compress and decompress defence, looking for an opening. No one is looking for the opening to score or the individual play.
