I’m quite excited about this post. All of you, I’m mainly a goalie and my goalie philosophy is to include us in the team tactics, giving the goalie an active on defence and during transitions and in my dreams even helping to release some pressure on a transition. The goalkeeper position is not an individual game on a team sport.

In my opinion a goalie can make really good saves but a goalie can be really good too on avoiding goal opportunities just with a good communication with the defence. Giving a goalie some responsibility on that field could allow the goalie to step, with some guidance of course from the coaches. Block & Roll

Calafell performs a block and roll, good execution actually but Reus' defence stops perfectly. After the block, Calafell positioned 3 players on a perfect triangle. The two players involved in the block a the third one who was the inner player but Reus positioned the defence perfectly covering all the pass lines.

Execution

As soon as the Calafell player skates into 3 he gets anxious about executing but there is no space for that pass but he passes anyway. Candid intercepts the pass with his stick.
