Pulling out the string, looking for responsibilities

Pulling out the string, looking for responsibilities

This goal is not the goalies fault or thanks to an amazing one on one. This goal came due to a small mistake that hit the first piece to break the defence. Keep reading and discover it.

Today we have a really interesting game from Okliga day 25 in between Caldes and Igualada. The game ended 2-0 for the locals. I want to highlight the incredible performance of both goalkeepers. They have been incredible.

Let’s start then. I think everyone here knows what happens after a blue card while the ball is rolling. Direct free hit. If after the direct free there is still no goal, a 4 on 3 situation is played.

This is that situation. Caldes missed the direct hit. To be honest, Guillem Torrens (Igualada’s goalkeeper) saved it. The Direct free shot is executed really well but goalies play too.

At the start of the clip we can see how Igualada set a triangle for defence and Caldes a square for attacking. Common strategy for both

When the square is set Xavi Gurri (Caldes Nº57) passes to the player at 7 and cuts in. Firstly aiming for the penalty point and when the top defender steps back. Gurri pretends to be looking for a block.

Marc Zanon (Caldes Nº14) located at 7 passes the ball back to the mid floor. Looking for the decompress defence. The pass ends in David Gelma (Caldes Nº96) who quickly fakes a shot fully free from defenders. The Igualada defender at the triangle bottom leaving Zanon free from defenders.

The fake shot ended on a pass to Zanon who was in front of Guillem completely free. Guillem overcommitted. Looking to cover as much space as possible and also trying to cover the usual first tap shot.

Instead of the first tap shot. Zanon stops the ball and calmly looks for the spot.
