Simplicity to perfection by Porto
When we think of simple and effective structure. I may think of circulation of 3. 2 attackers on the mid section a bit closer to the midfloor and the third on the midfloor. Or the opposite, always doing a triangle shape. And the fourth in the area. Versatile tactic and effective.

At the first take we can already see the triangle shape of Porto players and the fourth in the penalty area. Also I want to highlight Barça’s defence. Not saying that is bad but they are defending on the 6.25 area. Which for them is extremely weird. Riacard Ares’ team is usually defending 40 mts.
My guess as a coach is they are a bit intimidated by the powerful Porto. Of course who will not. Only fools will not.
Now let's see the circulation. The ball moves from top to side, always keeping distance with defenders. After a few passes, the dance begins and Barça’s defense goes up. The circulation “brakes” when Edu Lamas (Porto Nº6) stops the ball at the midfloor side. Helder Nunes (Porto Nº78) sets a block for him. Lamas moves the ball to the weak side.
