I am still finding gold on “old” games. I don’t regret anything of not being up to date. We are analysing the first game of the WSE champions cup ¼ finals. It was held in Trissino, Noia beat the locals 1-2.

As a reminder, Follow this steps:

  1. Take a look at the video:
  2. Read and think about the analysis.
  3. Match the analysis and the video. Min 0:55

Before we start, I’m really surprised with Trissino, just this video destroys the stereotypic team from Serie A1. Watching Serie A1 is really hard for me, due to the goalies. Average performance of Italian goalies does not match the performance of the players. Which as a goalie makes it really hard to see. And the other one is the offensive tactics. As you may realise most of the analysis are from Ok Liga, Spanish clubs playing european comps, or lately some clubs with a strong Spanish influence like Benfica. I’m happy to see that Trissino is on that train, maybe it is the reason they are dominating Serie A1.

Also I feel odd talking about a mistake involving a legend like Jordi Bargallo, I guess even the best ones make some mistakes. Not many to be honest, just some.

The play starts after a fault and the restart. We can see two Trissino players Alvarinho (Trissino Nº74) and Malagoli (Trissino Nº6) at the bottom corner to restart, the third one is Cocco (Trissino Nº7), and the fourth is at 0 at the same side.

Let’s check Noia defenders, everything looks good to me instead of Xavi Costa (Noia Nº6) that in my opinion he stepped down.

And this is how Trissino breaks a good defence is just 5 seconds, it is just mayestic
