Sub 17 mistake made by international players

This is what happens when the leader, the best Spanish team for 3 years in a row, is being beaten by the challengers. In other words how desperation will and can make you make the wrong decision.

The clip starts when Barça already has the counter attack set. It is a 4 on 3. Calafell’s defence is settled really well. Forming a triangle shape and extending arms to cut pass lines.

Here is the mistake. Ferran Font (Barça Nº24) decides to do the individual play. While all the other Barça players keep skating towards the goal cage. When Font gets to the top corner of the penalty box. All the Calafell defenders are in the box. Ferran tries the one on one and when he fails to go in he tries the shot. 

That guess, the shot has already been covered. Ferran is too close to the defender. No space at all. Which means, the ball straight to the barrier. This is not the worst part. Which in my opinion for these international players is bad enough. Ferran is the last player for Barça. All of them are in a more advanced position.

Here is the mistake, Ferran is being individualistic. Of course he is. The other 3 players are looking at the ball not doing any balance at all. It will be easy to blame Ferran. There are 3 other players that should have done the balance, maybe only one was good. The fact is that this mistake is from a sub 17 team. 

Everyone makes mistakes, and that is not the issue. The issue is that at this level, this mistake should be unacceptable. This mistake comes from the pressure and the rush of going 3-0 down.
