What a big "no no" could be a must

Today, as the title says, we are going back to the posts like: “Mistake?” Based on my experience some actions should never be done, and that is what I’m going to start calling a big “no no”.

Let’s get started, we are analysing the Ok Liga game day 20 in between Igualada and Vic. I don't know if you realised but I love the Igualada’s project so much. The game ended 3-2 for the local team.

You may notice one thing I love attacking on the sides, and there are a few reasons, we can go through them in another mail.

One of the main reasons is no one is defending on the sides and everyone is defending in the middle, even the watching towers. But what happens if the middle line is clear? My inner junior coach will say to the young fellas, “guys, skating with the ball through the middle is F O R B I D D E N” or “guys drive the ball through the middle is a big no no”

At the same time my inner coaching, the one that is a coaching team with a good understanding of hockey tactics will say, guys get this goal, see it, break it down, and understand it. On the next day we will use this.

This analysis contradicts everything I have been saying since I’m coaching in Australia. Let’s go and let's see why.
