Help or not help, that is the question

This is a simple move that easily you can integrate on your tactics. But I have to warn you, it is really easy to make a team fault on this one. It can be easily mistaken for a moving block.

As a reminder, Follow this steps:

  1. Take a look at the video:
  2. Read and think about the analysis.
  3. Match the analysis and the video. Min 3:06

The clips starts with Caldes starting a transition. The first thing I can see is the high pressure from Reus. Quickly Lluc Vila (Caldes N25) passes the ball to the side. Marc Zannon (Caldes N66) stops the ball on the wall. The defender is already on him. Lluc, to help him go throw, does a screen to  his defender. Helping to create some space and realise some pressure from him.

When Zannon gets to the midline, he passes the ball to the side, and Lluc keeps skating to the opposite side. Take a second to see Reus' defense. Super high putting a lot of pressure. Lluc doing this cut is trying to break that high line.

The player on the side stopping the ball is Gerard Rovira (Caldes N17). Check Rovira’s position. Rovira is giving the back to the wall, wide open. So he has all the options open for him and he also has the perfect view to check everything. Zannon skates to Rovira, it looks that he is going to block but instead he does a screen. This is happening at the same time Lluc is cutting in clearing the space.
